Somatic Healing for Trauma Survivors, Big Feelers, & Cycle Breakers
Mental Health Counseling, Nervous System Support, and Therapeutic Yoga for Emerging & Younger Adults across Washington State
Krystal Akin LMHC, E-RYT, TCYM- Founder, Therapist, & Somatic Guide
I specialize in supporting emerging and younger adults (roughly ages 16–45) in learning how to move through intense emotions without turning against themselves or damaging their relationships in the process.
As a fellow trauma survivor and cycle-breaker, I know firsthand how exhausting and overwhelming it can be to carry anxiety, big feelings, and the fear that you’re somehow always too much AND not enough…
When we don’t have the tools to regulate that emotional flood, it can show up in so many ways: impulse control struggles, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, dissociation, substance use, codependency, or patterns that keep repeating in our relationships even when we want things to change.
Maybe you’ve had intrusive thoughts or urges that led you to say or do things you didn’t mean. Maybe you’ve felt disconnected from yourself or your body, or like you can’t concentrate. It’s hard to trust yourself when your nervous system is in overdrive and you can’t hear the whisper of your intuition over all the internal noise.
For me, discovering yoga (and yes, a lot of therapy) was life-changing. It gave me tools to reduce emotional vulnerability and regulate my nervous system so I could get through hard moments without creating more pain. I believe that same capacity lives in you, too. You already have what you need inside you. My job is to help you find it.
Through a blend of somatic therapies, Eastern philosophy, and Western psychology and neuroscience, I help people reconnect to their bodies, interrupt painful cycles, and heal from trauma so they can feel more present, more emotionally regulated, and more in tune with who they really are.
I’m not a “healer”. I’m here as a helper, someone to walk alongside you as you learn to trust yourself again and bring more calm, clarity, and connection into your life. You don’t have to stay stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Together, we can work to clear the barriers standing between you and the grounded, embodied, authentic life you deserve.
