Brainspotting Therapy Intensives
Personalized therapy experiences. 4-hour, 1-day and 2-day formats or rolling 2-hour weekly sessions available. Achieve lasting results more quickly.
Have you hit a wall in traditional therapy?
You’ve done the work. You’ve learned the skills. But something is still holding you back. Something beneath the surface.
You feel limited by 60-min weekly therapy sessions
Do you ever get to the end of a therapy session and wonder- where did the time go? And you’ve only just begun to get to the heart of issue, right before it’s over? Does it feel like you’re on the edge of a breakthrough and wish you had more time?
You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing
You’re tired of feeling stuck and you want to experience deep, therapeutic work that could change your life. You’re ready to face the issues and help your body process everything it’s holding onto, emotionally and energetically.
You’re in the right place.
Brainspotting Intensives can help you accomplish in 1-2 sessions what may take months or years in traditional therapy.
What is an Intensive?
Intensive Therapy is a powerful way to accelerate the healing that you would experience in a typical therapy session. Rather than going to counseling for an hour session once a week, you would set aside a specific chunk of time- 4 hours for 1-2 days- for intensive therapeutic work. It is a concentrated way to get the power of Brainspotting without having time in between sessions. It’s an expansive opportunity to explore and process further and move forward more quickly.
During the Brainspotting Intensive we will work to release the remnants of painful experiences held within you and to rebuild your mind-body connection, supporting you in reintegrating all parts of your Self and bringing more peace to your internal system. We do this by integrating traditional Brainspotting with other somatic practices, primarily The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method, weaving in resourcing/grounding and exploratory activities like guided meditation, breathing practices, mindful movement, and/or artwork. This process is very personal and customized to you.
1
Pre-Intensive Assessment
Prior to the Brainspotting Intensive, we meet for a 60-min Pre-Intensive Interview to determine the goal of the intensive. We will look at what your life looks like now (your support system, stressors, ways you cope, and what you’d like to see improve or be different).

Intensive
Session
During our Brainspotting Intensive, we’ll start with somatic grounding and resourcing practices, followed by a series of Brainspotting sessions targeting pain points and tailored to your goals. Following Brainspotting, I’ll guide you through a personalized selection of somatic practices for integration and recovery.
3
Post-Intensive Follow-Up
After the Intensive, we meet for a 60-min Post-Intensive Interview to reflect on the elements that were most meaningful to you and how you want to infuse that into your life moving forward. We may also discuss whether additional intensive sessions or following up with individual therapy may be helpful for you.

While both utilize eye positions and bilateral stimulation, Brainspotting is less structured and focuses more on activation in the body rather than thoughts associated with specific memories. EMDR relies on rapid eye movements following strict protocols, whereas Brainspotting allows for deep, sustained focus on a single eye position. This organic approach allows the client's brain to naturally process at its own pace.

Weekly therapy offers time to process life as it unfolds. An intensive creates dedicated space to immerse yourself in a particular issue without stopping just as you're getting somewhere. Many people appreciate the momentum and continuity that an intensive provides.
-
Brainspotting Intensives can be a great fit if you're feeling stuck, wanting to process a specific issue more deeply, or simply don't want to spread the work out over months of weekly sessions. Together, we'll determine whether an intensive is appropriate for your goals, history, and nervous system.
-
No. While sharing your story can be helpful at times, it's not always necessary, or even the most effective way to heal. Brainspotting works with your brain and nervous system's natural ability to process unresolved experiences, so we can often work without repeatedly revisiting painful details.
-
It's normal to feel tired or emotionally tender after deep work, but we'll move at a pace your nervous system can tolerate. One benefit of virtual intensives is that when we're finished, you're already in the comfort of your own space, with time to rest and integrate rather than having to drive home.
-
Probably not- and it doesn't have to! Many people experience meaningful shifts after a single intensive, while others choose to schedule additional intensives or continue with weekly therapy. The goal isn't to rush healing, but to create the conditions for deeper, lasting change.
