Clinical Supervision
For associate & pre-licensed clinicians looking for a place to grow into their own way of being a therapist, rather than becoming someone else's version of a therapist.
I believe…
You deserve to build a therapy career that feels meaningful, sustainable, and authentically yours. Through thoughtful, relational supervision, you'll strengthen your clinical judgment, deepen your understanding, and learn to trust yourself as the therapist you're becoming.
I’m Krystal akin.
My approach
I’ve been in practice since 2012, have held supervisory therapeutic roles since 2022, and have been a Washington State Approved Supervisor since 2024. I am deeply committed to creating a supervision experience that is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in curiosity rather than perfection.
My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, somatic, attachment-based, and relational perspectives. Together, we'll move beyond simply discussing interventions or reviewing cases to explore the therapeutic relationship, strengthen your case conceptualization skills, and deepen your understanding of both your clients and yourself.
I believe that becoming an effective therapist is about more than mastering techniques. It's about developing your clinical voice, learning to trust your judgment, and cultivating an ethical, embodied presence that allows you to show up with confidence, authenticity, and compassion. My goal isn't to shape you into practicing like me- it's to help you become the therapist you want to be.
My supervision model focuses on:
Curiosity over perfection - creating space to ask questions, reflect deeply, and grow without fear of getting it wrong.
Understanding over interventions - strengthening your ability to conceptualize cases through relational, trauma-informed, intersectional, and somatic lenses.
Confidence through self-trust - helping you develop your own clinical voice and an embodied presence that feels authentic and sustainable.
Things we’ll work on
Clinical Voice
Develop confidence in your unique way of being a therapist rather than trying to emulate someone else.
Therapeutic Presence
Cultivate an embodied, attuned presence that helps clients feel safe, seen, and understood.
Ethical Reflection
Navigate ethical questions with thoughtfulness, integrity, and compassion, not just by following the rules.
Clinical Judgment
Learn to trust your thinking and decision-making, even when working with complex or uncertain cases.
Conceptualization
Understand the "why" beneath the presenting problem through relational, attachment, trauma-informed, and somatic lenses.
Sustainable Practice
Build habits, boundaries, and self-awareness that support a meaningful career without sacrificing yourself in the process.

Supervision with me is collaborative, reflective, and semi-structured. We'll discuss cases, strengthen your clinical skills, and explore the relational and nervous system dynamics that shape your work. My goal is to create a space where you can ask questions, think critically, and develop confidence in your own clinical voice.

Not at all. Supervision is a place to wonder, explore, and learn together. Whether you're feeling stuck, uncertain, or simply looking for another perspective, you don't need to have everything figured out before we meet.

I believe the best supervision is both encouraging and honest. I'll celebrate your strengths while also gently challenging you to think more deeply, expand your perspective, and continue growing as a clinician. My hope is that you'll leave supervision feeling supported, stretched, and increasingly confident in your abilities.
