Somatic Therapy Intensives
Personalized therapy experiences. 4-hour, 1-day and 2-day formats or rolling 2-hour weekly sessions available. Achieve lasting results more quickly.
Have you hit a wall in traditional therapy?
You’ve done the work. You’ve learned the skills. But something is still holding you back. Something beneath the surface.
You feel limited by 60-minute weekly therapy sessions
Do you ever get to the end of a therapy session and wonder- where did the time go? And you’ve only just begun to get to the heart of issue, right before it’s over? Does it feel like you’re on the edge of a breakthrough and you wish you had more time?
You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing
You’re tired of feeling stuck and you want to experience deep, therapeutic work that could change your life. You’re ready to face the issues and help your body process everything it’s holding onto, emotionally and energetically.
You’re in the right place.
Somatic Therapy Intensives can help you accomplish in 1-2 sessions what may take months or years in traditional therapy.
What is an Intensive?
Intensive Therapy is a powerful way to accelerate the healing that you would experience in a typical therapy session. Rather than going to counseling for an hour session once a week, you would set aside a specific chunk of time- 4 hours for 1-2 days or 2hrs a week for 8 weeks- for intensive therapeutic work. It is a concentrated way to get the power of Somatic Therapy without having time in between sessions. It’s an expansive opportunity to explore and process further and move forward more quickly.
During the Somatic Therapy Intensive we will work to release the remnants of painful experiences held within you and to rebuild your mind-body connection, supporting you in reintegrating all parts of your Self and bringing more peace to your internal system. We do this by integrating body-based practices, primarily The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method, Somatic Experiencing, IFS informed parts work, & Brainspotting, weaving in resourcing/grounding and exploratory activities like guided meditation, breathing practices, mindful movement, and/or artwork. This process is very personal and customized to you.
1
Pre-Intensive Assessment
Prior to the Somatic Intensive, we meet for a 60-min Pre-Intensive Interview to determine the goal of the intensive. We will look at what your life looks like now (your support system, stressors, ways you cope, and what you’d like to see improve or be different).
2
Intensive
Session
During our Somatic Intensive, we’ll start with somatic grounding and resourcing practices, followed by a series of therapeutic blocks targeting pain points and tailored to your goals. Following the deeper work, I’ll guide you through a personalized selection of somatic practices for integration and recovery.
3
Post-Intensive Follow-Up
After the Intensive, we meet for a 60-min Post-Intensive Interview to reflect on the elements that were most meaningful to you and how you want to infuse that into your life moving forward. We may also discuss whether additional intensive sessions or following up with individual therapy may be helpful for you.

Somatic therapy recognizes that difficult experiences, stress, and trauma are not only held in our thoughts, but can also be carried in our bodies and nervous systems. Rather than focusing solely on talking about problems or understanding them intellectually, somatic therapy also honors and meets physical sensations, emotions, impulses, and patterns that arise in the body.
This approach can help you build greater awareness of your nervous system, process experiences that may feel difficult to put into words, and create a deeper sense of safety, regulation, and connection with yourself. For many people, understanding why they feel the way they do isn't enough- they're looking to actually feel different. Somatic therapy helps bridge that gap by working with both the mind and the body in the healing process. Learn more

Weekly therapy offers time to process life as it unfolds. An intensive creates dedicated space to immerse yourself in a particular issue without stopping just as you're getting somewhere. Many people appreciate the momentum and continuity that an intensive provides. Learn more

A somatic therapy intensive may be a good fit if you find yourself thinking, "I understand why I feel this way, but I still can't seem to shift it." Many people seek intensives when they are ready to move beyond insight alone and experience healing on a deeper, more embodied level. Learn more
You may be a good fit if you're longing to feel more regulated, more connected to yourself, and less stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Intensives can provide the time, space, and focused support needed to slow down, listen to what your nervous system has been carrying, and begin creating meaningful change.

No. Healing does not require you to share every detail of your experiences. While talking about your story can sometimes be helpful, for some people repeatedly telling the story can feel overwhelming or unhelpful. Somatic therapy and Brainspotting allow us to work with how trauma is being carried in your body and nervous system, helping you process its impact without needing to relive every detail. Learn more

It's normal to wonder about this, especially if you've had experiences of feeling flooded or emotionally exhausted in the past. While intensive therapy can bring up meaningful emotions, the intention is not to overwhelm your system. We move at a pace that honors your nervous system and work together to create a sense of safety throughout the process.
Afterward, some people feel tired or emotionally tender, while others experience relief, clarity, or a greater sense of connection to themselves. One benefit of virtual intensives is that when we're finished, you're already in the comfort of your own space, with time to rest and integrate rather than having to drive home. Learn more

Probably not- and it doesn't have to! Many people experience meaningful shifts after a single intensive, while others choose to schedule additional intensives or continue with weekly therapy. The goal isn't to rush healing, but to create the conditions for deeper, lasting change. Learn more
